Q1. How do I cut Dekton?
A: Dekton requires a higher RPM and slower feed rate than other materials, such as granite or quartz. Using as much water as possible is vital when cutting Dekton, which not only help wash away the small debris generated by cutting , but also lower temperature to extend the lifespan of the blade. We suggest turning the water to maximum and directing it right into the cut. Starting with slower feeding speed to nevigate a proper speed to achieve the best result for several meters, then gradually increase the speed bit by bit until reaching the most ideal speed without chipping the slab. Coz with different combination of thickness/hardness slabs, different machines and blades, the feeding speed need to be adjusted accordingly.
Q2: Do you need a special blade to cut DEKTON?
A: Yes. The diamond blades are deisgned for cutting brittle and hard material. DEKTOPON is made under high temperature and pressure, the texture is very hard and compact. So cutting this kind of material require a finer diamond bond to provide a clean and fine fiinshing cutting result based on proper cutting speed and durability to give the highest cost efficiency.
