Q1. How do you cut marble without chipping?

A: Marble slab or high-grade ceramic tiles usually are very brittle , and requires better continuous rim diamond blade with a fine bond to cut. So this basically can guarantee the cut with less chips or barely no chips. And in this condition, water is also needed to make sure the cut is smooth. Another tip is before cutting, use a marker to draw a line in the front side of slab,and slowly move the slab into machine. Besides, you can also make a small slice on the back side , then finish the cut in frontside. Above this ways, a very nice cut with no chipping will be produced.

Q2: Do you need a special blade to cut marble tile?

A: Yes. The diamond blades are deisgned for cutting brittle and hard material. There are mainly 3 types of segments : CONTINUOUS RIM, SEGMENTED and TURBO RIM. When cutting marble, glass ,jade and ceramic tiles, such material generally requires smooth cut and fine finishing. Thats is the reason we choose CONITINUOUS RIM type diamond blade. Firstly, no gullets will cause less breakage; and furthermore, this type of blade contain finer grits of diamond grains, which can make less chips . But to help heat dissipation, water is needed to cool down and flush away the dust for better performance.
